The true driver of success

Motivation will not save you. When you make a goal to go to the gym five days a week, write a novel in a year, or to only order take-out once a week, you will need to channel self-discipline to accomplish these.

Motivation is being excited to get into the gym and the desire to workout. When that motivation is not there by Wednesday, self-discipline will get you out of bed. Discipline is the ability to pursue your goals despite the temptations to abandon it.

How we channel our self-discipline is through remembering WHY. Why we started our journey toward this goal. And when we create our why when forming our goal, it needs to be deep. Superficial reasons such as losing 10 pounds or to get famous will not last. Creating healthy habits to model for our children is a deeper reason that will help us stay focused. Sharing our knowledge and to write a novel for our grandchildren to read is a deeper reason.

If you need help finding that deeper reason, creating personal goals, and channeling your self-discipline, book a free 30-minute consultation with me here.
