If you’re like me, you haven’t really looked at what your current values are. We often say we value certain things, like health or family, but our actions don’t reflect this.
As I’m working on my productivity, I realized that I need to go one step back and really reflect on what my values are. To do this, I did some research with some exercises that really made me think about what actions I’m taking and how they reflect my values.
I love reading. A common phrase I say is, “So I’m reading this book right now…” I read a lot of books about building a business, communication, pitching, marketing, etc. Pretty much anything to help me learn something that I can apply to my own life.
I just finished two books and am working on another. I’ve gained a lot of value from these books and I want to pass them along because I believe you can get a lot of value from them too.
The saying “head in the clouds” is usually used to indicate that someone has a impractical or impossible idea. I beg to differ.
As an entrepreneur growing a business, having your head in the clouds expands possibilities and can make something remarkable. I’ve been working on my business, Folx, for months now and I was reminded just this week that I need to continue to think big.
I listen to Podcasts daily, more often than I listen to music. I find immense value from Podcasts (and audio books). After listening to StartUp by Alex Blumberg, I was inspired to document my own process in forming my own startup through podcasting. My style is slightly different from his. I will give updates in each episode but the topic of each segment will be about tools that I have found useful, have learned or discovered in my experiences.
My first episode is a short one at about 11 minutes. Listen to it below.
